1. Who we are
Karaoke Captions (karaokecaptions.com, “we”, “us”) is provided by MD. Mezbibur Rahman Khan, a sole proprietor trading as Karaoke Captions, Bangladesh. You can reach us at support@karaokecaptions.com.
2. What Karaoke Captions is
Karaoke Captions is software that adds animated, word-by-word captions to videos. It runs in your web browser (and, optionally, as a Mac app). Speech recognition and video rendering happen on your own device; your videos are not uploaded to us.
The core tool is free. Karaoke Captions Pro is an optional paid upgrade that unlocks additional caption styles and tools, described on the pricing page. Features we have made free will stay free.
3. Purchases
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. When you buy Pro you are buying from Paddle, and your purchase is also subject to the Paddle Buyer Terms. Prices are shown on the pricing page in US dollars; Paddle shows your final price, including any sales tax or VAT, before you pay.
4. Subscriptions and lifetime purchases
- Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page, from the link in your Paddle receipt email, or at paddle.net; Pro then stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Lifetime is a one-time payment for Pro for as long as we offer Karaoke Captions Pro, including updates, with no renewal.
- If we change a subscription price, we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.

6. Your licence to use Pro
Pro gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Pro features on your own devices for personal and commercial projects. Videos you make with Karaoke Captions, free or Pro, are yours to publish anywhere, with no watermark and no attribution required. Pro belongs to your Karaoke Captions account and works on any device you sign in on. Please don't share your account, resell access to Pro, or try to unlock Pro without paying for it.
7. Your content
You keep all rights to your videos and transcripts. Because processing happens on your device, we never receive them. You are responsible for having the rights to the material you caption and publish, including any music or footage in it.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use Karaoke Captions to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to attack, overload or reverse-engineer our services or the checks that unlock Pro.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Karaoke Captions available and improving, but it depends on your browser and device (MP4 export needs a browser with WebCodecs, such as Chrome or Edge). We may change or add features. If we ever retire a paid feature you are paying for, we will offer a pro-rated refund.
10. Disclaimer and liability
Karaoke Captions is provided “as is”. Automatic transcription can make mistakes, so please review captions before publishing. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; material changes will be announced on this site before they take effect.
