With the parts split out

Duet karaoke songs

Every duet here comes with the part split written out, so you sort out who sings what before the first line rather than during it.

The failure mode of a karaoke duet is completely predictable. Two people who never agreed who was singing which part, both starting the first line, then both stopping. Everything after that is recovery.

So each song on this page says who sings what. Some are strict alternations. Some give one singer nearly all the work and the other a chorus to arrive for. A few, the best ones, put both voices together for the whole chorus, which is the most forgiving arrangement there is, because two uncertain singers sound dramatically better than one.

If you and your partner have very different ranges, favour the songs marked as sung in unison. Call and response duets are more fun to watch but leave each voice exposed on its own, which is a lot to ask of two people who have had a couple of drinks.
